Metroid: Other M - More Than Meets the Eye (Part 5)
Samus's Log: "The Biosphere houses many secrets, be it in it's organic components, or the hologram technology used to better replicate it's ecosystem. No matter the threat, I am quick to eliminate it. And yet, despite my gut telling me that this strange white creature poses a serious threat, I choose to leave it be. I'm sure that won't come back to haunt me later."

Last time we came across another dead body and this video shows us PLENTY of enemies that'd love to kill Samus dead. Like...maybe this "cute" little white thing. Yeah, that's not foreshadowing at all...and seriously, Samus....when that thing's WATCHING YOU LIKE THAT maybe you should do something.
We now stumble upon an admittedly cool aspect of the Bottle Ship that I don't think is used enough: holograms! It seems part or maybe even ALL of the environments aren't completely real, so that might make moving on from here tricky!
Soon enough we approach a more open area, and going by videogame logic...there's GOTTA be something behind that waterfall! Oh hey, look, a sleeping creature. I'm sure it'll just stay asle00 OH GOD! I'll say this much, there are some cool enemy designs in this game...and Dragotix is one of the weirder ones! And I thought Mawile was weird!
Progressing through the next few rooms and we get a sneak-peak at an upcoming enemy...no use talking about it now though. It's big though, isn't it? Investigating another bathroom actually gives us something for once! An Accel Charge, which will help our Charge Beam get to full power a little faster....that'll be more pronounced later on, of course.
Ascending an elevator shaft we have some obstructions in the way AND another pesky enemy follows us up. Just move to that save area and fire another missile to drop the elevator. That's a one-hit kill if you dislodge it from an unsafe position, by the way.
Later still, here's a Morph Ball path with a secret path we can't take yet, because Adam is a dick. I almost missed that Missile upgrade, but I'm proud of my Bomb Jumping skills :P
We're slowly amassing Missiles (as you might tell, this game only gives you one new missile per upgrade, whereas past games usually give you more, like five at a time), which is good, as its the only way to get through...is that webbing? Vines? Either way, we're getting pretty deep into the Biosphere. And then sudden serpent shoots out! That is ALSO an instant death if you don't Sensemove in time. Yeah, instant death quick-time-events without the QTE visible! Who doesn't love that?!
We then have a bit of a mini-boss rush of sorts. First, some Ghalmanians (the chameleon-types) and then a new foe: the FG-1000 security drones. With a powerful shield that causes all of Samus's attacks to bounce right off, they are only vulnerable when charing their own powerful beams. Defeating them actually grants Samus a power-up, which is an event that happens few times in this game. I can count them on one hand. The Diffusion Beam will make quicker work of swarms of enemies at least.
And after ALL of that, it's time for another quick boss! At least they let us save right before. Fune and Namihe are serpentine enemies that hit and run, and by that I mean they'll shoot some electric orbs at you and then quickly retreat into the walls or ceiling. Shoot them down with a Missile and they'll take you in in close-quarters! However, our new Diffusion Beam does a number on their many weak points and after that, a Lethal Strike will take care of them. They are a unique encounter, and thus technically qualify as a boss, but they're not too tough, and really feel like a mini boss more than anything...
And so a new path has opened up...
