MiSTer FPGA - Marvel Super Heroes (マーヴル・スーパーヒーローズ) [2 Player] / Capcom CPS-2 Arcade [BETA]
0Had a 2 player noob-session with Marvel Super Heroes recently. Neither of us are familiar with this game, but I know Street Fighter pretty well so I had to hold back a bit so as to not make it completely un-fun. Really great game. Easy execution, flashy and effective moves and a simple combo system with air chains, make this a fun pick-up-and-play title, even if you're not familiar with fighting games. I can see why this one was so popular, and also find it interesting seeing the roots of the series before the tag team offshoots emerged.
Animation and graphics in general are top-notch, as to be expected from CPS-2 era Capcom. Sound is also great throughout, and there is a Street Fighter Alpha 3 vibe to things, which I really dig.
Another Capcom gem on MiSTer, and it plays wonderfully. Looking forward to seeing some folks who are actually skilled in the game test out the core to its fullest.
