MULLET MADJACK | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
452It's time to shoot Robots and drink Soda. Lots and lots of soda! Mullet Madjack is an awesome homage to 3D FPS games from the 90's with a modern twist as it introduces rogue-like elements. You will have to bash and shoot your way through hordes of robot enemies as you move across more than 80 floors in order to free a popular influencer.
With each floor cleared, you unlock a new upgrade or ability to help you on your way. Everything is drenched in an awesome cyberpunk and anime sauce from the 80's and 90's. Even the sound of the voices has a filter to represent how they sounded back then.
The action itself is incredibly satisfying and fast paced. You better believe I chugged down a large can of Monster Energy Nitro Flavor while recording this and it was the perfect combo. Often levels take less than one minute and there is also an element of a countdown timer present. Though I am usually not a fan of a time constraint, it never bugged me and you have to keep shooting enemies to avoid the counter from reaching zero.
Probably the weakest part of the game is that you don't really get time to appreciate the enviroments and art design of the levels. The world is colorful and vibrant, but its so high paced all the time that you often look past what the artists have made. A few cooling down moments would have been great to soak in the atmosphere before chugging down another soda and get to shooting. Boom, baby!!!
