We're back with the penultimate video! This time I finally tried out playing on teams with a friend, rather than a rando. Once again, this features my good friend @YuuGiJoou so check her out on YouTube. Or Twitch! https://www.twitch.tv/yuugijoou
You can see our matches from her perspective and with included voice chat in the VODs. I'm sure she'll post them eventually.

Set 1: Classic 3 Platforms, Training Stage
Jake (DI4MOND) & Harley Quinn (memetron5000) vs. Shaggy (YuuGiJoou) & Steven Universe (me)

We did OK that round. Still getting used to using Steven as support honestly. His tether move is a bit tricky to aim at my ally and I don't hold down dodge enough to put up the bubble shield but we did alright! YuuGiJoou was able to survive for quite a long time as we slowly pulled ahead.

Things were going well in the second match. We even got a cool kill by having Shaggy kick Harley into my shield wall and bounce off of it for a kill at about 6:06 ! But...I dunno how it all fell apart. Other than the fact that Harley's down air is STUPID good. I coulda have netted more kills I guess but regardless that Harley didn't want to keep playing so the set ends there. How anticlimactic!

Set 2: Training Stage, Batcave
Batman (YuuGiJoou) & Superman (Me) vs. Finn/Taz (AphidGameJaguar581) & Batman (fuzboy)

World's Finest! All and all a fun enough set. Superman's good. He can survive for SO long, he hits hard, he has projectiles. Kinda surprised more people weren't complaining about him. Maybe because you have to unlock him more people didn't give him a shot? All things told though I think Batman and Superman are a good combo. Batman can lay on damage but he can't kill...and that's where Supes comes in! Batman's smoke bomb slows people down too, and if you combine that with Superman's freezing breath that can pin people down a fair bit...not that we did that much.

Match 3: Scooby's Haunted Mansion
Tom & Jerry (YuuGiJoou) & Finn (me) vs. Batman (Ngel) & Finn (McLovin-0613)

This match is...kinda tricky to deal with. All the crazy angels you can get sent flying means that breaking your fall is pretty important. But more than that, the floors constantly being dropped out beneath our feet leads to some issues. Finn's unique in that his strong attacks can be charged while he's moving around, and they get stronger the longer he moves, with his High Five special working the same way. But this stage can get quite cramped with hardly any room to run around so that kinda holds me back. Tom & Jerry also kinda need space to zone properly but that wasn't really happening. I think I did pretty good here, getting some good kills and staying alive. Look closely at about 19:55 I even raise the floor back up to save my partner!

Set 4: Trophy's E.D.G.E. 2, Scooby's Haunted Mansion, Batcave
Garnet (me) & Garnet (YuuGiJoou) vs. Harley Quinn/Arya Stark (squall747) & Bugs Bunny/Reindog (ChefTroyardee)

Ruby + Sapphire = Garnet, and two Garnets uh...makes a pretty strong team. Maybe. We can both hit hard and buff each other at any rate so we can cover weaknesses well enough! That first match was pretty fun! Just nonstop punching. Pretty sure I got some kill steals from my partner though, but overall we both survived a long time and kept wracking up damage so it worked out well.

I dunno how we fell apart in the second match though. Arya was just faster up close maybe? That said, maybe leaving Reindog alone to be annoying wasn't the best play. But don't worry Garnet, we can still do this! It ended up being pretty close! In hindsight, maybe doubling up on one character wasn't the best idea...it was dumb fun though.

Just one more video from the alpha to go, and then next month we get the open beta so I'll probably record more of that. Gotta make this footage last as long as I can!
