In a game where the player has almost unlimited freedom and is unconstrained by the story, is there even a place for meaningful music? Turns out there is, but creating such a soundtrack is different than in narrative-driven games. We’ll talk about building a dedicated adaptive music system with UE4’s new TimeSynth tool and ways to achieve a responsive OST in MMO title, as well as introducing interactive, player-driven music into a multiplayer experience.
