Wingspan is a game full of beautifully hand-drawn birds. While debating whether or not we should develop the game, we decided that if we did, we needed to animate all 170 of them. Why? To make the game more alive and "fancy" - so it doesn't look like your average board game adaptation that was made just to make it work on your PC. It was mostly my idea and, after some research, we decided that we should animate all birds directly in the Unity Animation system. Now the game is out there fully in motion and I would like to show you the extent of the work I’ve put on the project.
