My First All Saints Wake! | FFXIV in 2019
102Our Final Fantasy 14 journey continues! In today's video, we take a look at FFXIV's Halloween event All Saints Wake!
Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Tiny Blue Games! My name is Csaw or Chris, and today we are discussing All Saint Wake. One of my favourite parts of playing through FFXIV over the past couple of months has been experiencing all of the events and holidays for the first time. Most MMOs that I'm currently playing are games that I have played for many years, and with that, I know exactly what to expect when it comes to different holidays. This is not the case for FFXIV, each time a holiday comes around I'm always wondering how the game will interpret it in its own style.
All Saints Wake is the name of the Halloween Holiday. The events are open to anyone level 15 or above and starts in the town of New Gridania. From there you learn about a circus that has come into down and a mysterious creature that has gone missing. You are tasked with tracking down this creature and helping it learn to scare people. Ultimately, this ends with you unlocking a Circus Arihman Mount.
The other piece of Halloween content that I cried out was the haunted manor. This was an instance where a light-party group works together to fully explore a haunted manor. The group is composed of any combination and therefore parties don't take long to find. Navigating the manor is difficult as any monster that you get to close to will lower the entire group's sanity meter. If you get to 0 sanity, you fail the instance.
As a relatively new ffxiv player, I have been enjoying giving my first impressions for the many different pieces of content this game has to offer. If you are interested in exploring the game yourself I suggest you check out the Final Fantasy 14 free trial. This trial lets you play the base game all the way to level 35, with no time restrictions. It was ultimately the free trial that convinced me to dive into the full game and the new Shadowbringers expansion!
