Our Final Fantasy 14 journey continues! In today's video, we take our first look at The Palace of The Dead (PotD).

Ladies and gentlemen welcome back to TinyBlueGames! Today we are talking about Final Fantasy 14 in 2019, and specifically we will be talking about The Palace of the Dead. This is a feature that a lot of you have been suggesting I try and I'm excited that I finally took the time try it out. PotD is a Deep Dive dungeon that is unlocked through a blue feature quest. It only takes about 15 minutes of gameplay to unlock the dungeon, and it's well worth the time.

You can enter the dungeon by talking to wood wailer in Quarry Mill. This can be done either as a group or as a solo player. The first time you enter the dungeon you will start on floor 1, and you character will be level 1. You need to kill the monsters on each floor to gain exp and level up your job. Your character will unlock skills as you level. You can also obtain various powerups from chests you loot on each floor. These powerups can range from simple damage increase all the way to transforming into a succubus.

You progress through the dungeon by killing all of the enemies on the floor and finding the transporting pad. Completing a floor will transport you to the next floor (you go from floor 1 to floor 2, and then so on). The next level floor will have more enemies that are a higher level. As a solo player, the challenge is ensuring that you level enough to be powerful enough to kill the enemies on each floor. In order to complete the first section of the dungeon, you have to clear floors 1-10, floor 10 being a dungeon. Ultimately, I really enjoy the PotD as it was a very different experience from anything else I had experienced in the game so far. I am interested in seeing how the dungeon will change as I get to different floors.

As a relatively new ffxiv player, I have been enjoying giving my first impressions for the many different pieces of content this game has to offer. If you are interested in exploring the game yourself I suggest you check out the Final Fantasy 14 free trial. This trial lets you play the base game all the way to level 35, with no time restrictions. It was ultimately the free trial that convinced me to dive into the full game and the new Shadowbringers expansion!

👀 Do you enjoy leveling alts through The Palace of The Dead? *Woops, I forgot to change this!
