Our Final Fantasy 14 journey continues! In today's video, I talk my first time healing in FFXIX as a Scholar!

Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Tiny Blue Games! My name is Csaw or Chris, and today we are discussing the SCH. As soon as I had access to the scholar I decided to job into a random duty finder and heal an instance. I've kind of been excited/nervous to try healing in this game, and I thought the best thing to do was to jump right in!

As it turns out, it wasn't too hard. I ended up getting a lower level instance and because of that I only really had a couple of healing skills. This was actually great for learning the job as it meant I couldn't only really do so many things. I think it is sometimes intimidating to be faced with too many skills if you are new to a role, it this was definitely the best way for me to get my bearings.

Healing the instance was too bad, my group did a great job of staying near me and letting the tank keep aggro. In reality I mostly just spammed my "physic" heal skill on the tank over and over again, sometimes moving it to the rest of the group if we did take aoe damage. I did have my fairy flying around helping me top people off, but I certainly noticed not having access to a good aoe heal yet. It is probably the thing I looking forward to most.

As a relatively new ffxiv player, I have been enjoying giving my first impressions for the many different pieces of content this game has to offer. If you are interested in exploring the game yourself I suggest you check out the Final Fantasy 14 free trial. This trial lets you play the base game all the way to level 35, with no time restrictions. It was ultimately the free trial that convinced me to dive into the full game and the new Shadowbringers expansion!
