Hey, welcome back to game development diaries on Khud0 - Indie Game Dev channel! In this indie game devlog series, I'm going to show you how I made "Blow & Fly", a physics-based platformer in which you move and aim at the same time.
When you're a gamedev making a platformer in Unity, it's useful to experiment with new ways to move around from time to time and to try and break your game. Even if you don't stick with the initial results, they might inspire you to make something new. In my case, it helped me come up with jump pads.
In this unity game devlog I also shared how I approach making a game secret level and designing levels in general. I feel like it's one of the great benefits of indie game development that we get to put any secrets into the game we want and thus make it much more personal.
Whether you're an indie gamedev yourself, or you're interested in games made with Unity for some other reason, I'm looking forward to seeing you in my next Unity devlog! Make sure to subscribe so that you don't miss it. ;)
