In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, we check out the new patch, 1.9.1, as well as FINALLY get to show off Yaksha once more, with an Ability Spam Items focused strategy! 1.9.1 came out from nowhere with a huge amount of weapon buffs, including some shocking ones, such as Veiled Mask losing 10% of it's crit deficit, now sitting at only -20% crit, as well as Sylphid Wings becoming a Chase/Soar item, and many more! That aside, today's run is centered around Yaksha, a character I've been dying to show off to my new crop of audience members. Yaksha is a character with a checkered past, the pariah of the Skul community, many a meme has been made about all the great natural legendaries, and then Yaksha, free 44 bone shards. However, he was always holding a secret within him that took us all a long time to figure out, which is when hopped up on the Skill CD/Attack Speed Arachne shrine, he can keep an enemy in near permanent slowness while he's casting his skills, which is near constantly. Specifically, you want the Iron Strike and Yaksha of Iron Will skill combos, which both have very low cooldowns. However, you don't need these two skills together, you can perform similar levels of absurdity with both Yaksha Fist and Demonic Massacre, but if you have one of those skills you want them comboed with either Iron Strike or Yaksha of Iron Will. If you have Yaksha Fist and Demonic Massacre together, it's far too clunky to use for the perma slowness. The strategy of choice when it comes to Yaksha permaslow runs you generally use Ability Spam Items with it, which is what we do here. Ability Spam Items is an archetype centered around items that activate when a skill is used, so Rakshasha can cast his abilities and also have items constantly proccing. So, that's the idea here, Yaksha finally making his appearance in the 1.9.1 debut, with an Ability Spam Items focused strategy! Joined by Genie, can Yaksha show a new crop of viewers his worth, and shake the old shell of mediocrity he still holds in some people's eyes?
