In this Skul the Hero Slayer video, I'll be using the Gargoyle skull with a Basic Attack Items focus strategy! Gargoyle is one of my personal pet projects in this game, to get people to see the good in him. He's easily the most universally disliked characters, and as I always say it ain't all invalid, but people mistake distaste for something as that thing being bad, which isn't the case at all for Gargoyle. Gargoyle can do a lot of things other characters can't, such as his unique ability to play the Dash Items archetype, which allows him to spam them faster than any other character can. However, today we'll be focusing on his basic attack. Gargoyle's basic attack gets stronger the longer he spends in the air, but I personally find it unnecessary to play around this mechanic, and it can even be pretty cumbersome to do so against some of the scarier fights in this game, so usually I just focus around how quickly he can use his basic, and combine that with the strength of petrify to make it so Gargoyle is able to safely basic attack by utilizing the reliable i-frames. I also, shockingly, actually do get some good use out of one of Gargoyle's stack skills in this run. The other focus of the run is the Basic Attack Items archetype! Basic attack items are one of the archetypes I don't tend to favor, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Stuff like Mana Gauntlet, Bone of Swiftness, Gold Mane Rapier, and even the all powerful Evil Sword: Kirion make up this archetype, so it's pretty stacked with good stuff. This episode we'll be centering around Mana Gauntlet and Demon Sword of the End. So, that's today's focus, Gargoyle rehabilitation as well as a Basic Attack Items archetype. Joined by Frost, can this i-frame swapping duo overcome some, frankly, rotten luck and still come out unscathed?
