Ningyou Tsukai 2 (Metal and Lace 2/人形使い2) is the sequel to the original (and little known) 2D hentai fighting game: Metal & Lace (Battle of the Robo Babes). The first game in the series was localized in North America by MegaTech Software, a company that was somewhat idolized back in the day for publishing various Japanese hentai games and such and bringing them overseas. The game is published by a small development group known as "FOREST". The original M&L had a tournament and you could buy things (So it had a few RPG elements), but the fighting was too basic. M&L2 instead delivers a fast and furious arcade fighter.

M&L2 looks and sounds better, but it isn't without problems. First and foremost, the game has a ridiculously cheap juggle system...of course, some people would find that as a plus. I purposely avoided doing cheap juggles just like I didn't try to use infinity combos in Marvel Super Heroes when I played that game for Sega Saturn...it's kinda in poor taste, especially if you do it all the time.

With that being said, the game is somewhat broken...BUT it can still be pretty cool, so long as you aren't spamming never-ending combos. The characters have some cool moves in this game, with Mimi (and the human counterpart, Mako) being my fave. There is another site I found that has what appears to be a complete movelist (I saw one on GameFAQs and it's good, but is missing a couple of things) for those who want to know the moves. In regards to the above link, you can see moves for each character by clicking the links at the top of the page...if you can't navigate foreign language websites, then it probably will do you little good.

The visuals and animation of this game are decent, with nice anime stills and nicely drawn hentai scenes (which have been removed from this video). The music (what little there is) is also pretty nice...if you notice, a lot of videos for this game don't have music. You can't get music unless you are playing the "Game CD" version of the game. You can unlock a couple of characters and a few CG pics, but the game lacks replayability and there aren't a lot of fighters in the game, even with the ones you unlock. However, it is a good attempt for a hentai fighter and one of the better H games I've played (especially for a non-text adventure).
