Silpheed: Super Dogfighter Intro - PC

A brilliant game for its time, you'd be surprised how amazing some of these old PC games were for the time and they're still fun today. This one here is pushing neat polygons during the late 80s!! I had always wanted to see THE ORIGINAL U.S. PC version of Silpheed by Game Arts in action, but didn't think a modern computer could run it. After doing some research, I learned a little more about DOS than I had originally desired and got this game running on a comp twenty years newer than it, lol (bought my latest computer in 2008). This is the predecessor to the cool Sega CD game. It was originally made in 1986 for the Japanese PC-8801.
Sure, it may not look like much today, but this game handles surprisingly well and showed a lot of promise. The story isn't that big a deal, but I uploaded it by itself so I could squeeze in more gameplay footage.
