Nintendo GameCube Start-Up w/ Hidden Bonus Start-Ups ✔
Anto RetroGamer Presents: the universal start-up screen for the Nintendo GameCube. Includes two additional bonus start-up screen accessed by the Nintendo GameCube controller. This is what happens if you don't press anything, and appears on all releases of the Nintendo GameCube.
The first hidden Nintendo GameCube Start-Up is done by holding down 'Z' on the first controller when powering on the system. The GameCube logo appears in tune with a bunch of child-like noises followed by a baby laugh at the end. This is the better known of the two and the easiest to perform.
The second hidden Nintendo GameCube Start-Up is done by holding down 'Z' on four plugged-in controllers at the same time. It's done in the same manner, but some additional friends will be handy unless you have extra limbs. In the same manner to the previous one, a bunch of tribal noises play in tune to the GameCube logo in motion followed by a chime at the end. This is lesser known due to the less likelier scenario of finding this by accident.
Fun Fact: speeding up the background music in the GameCube menu screen (Hold A...) by 16x, plays at the same tempo to the start-up theme for the Nintendo Famicom Disk System. The add-on was released exclusively in Japan.
The Nintendo GameCube is a home video game console created and released by Nintendo in Japan and North America in 2001 and Europe and Australia in 2002. It is part of the 'Sixth Generation' of home video game consoles, succeeding the Nintendo 64.
The Nintendo GameCube is their first console to use optical discs as its primary storage medium. The discs are in the mini-DVD format and the system was not designed to play full sized DVDs or audio CDs. The console supports online gaming for a small number of games via the broadband or modem adapter and connects to the Game Boy Advance via the link cable, allowing players to access exclusive in-game features using the handheld as a second screen and controller.
