Outlast Gameplay on Ubuntu 15.04 (Native)
A quick look at performance and gameplay of Outlast running at max settings, natively on Ubuntu!
This video is generally cut into two sections:
1. Intro 0:00
2. Fullscreen 1:22
3. Windowed-mode 9:20
Outlast is being released as part of the new Humble Indie Bundle 14.
There were some issues I noticed with Outlast right off the bat.
1. No force feedback on my controller
2. Vsync is stuck at 60fps, can't be disabled
3. Mouse pointer will appear in windowed-mode until mouse is moved
Naturally, we should expect different results from AMD and Intel hardware due to the nature of their drivers still being in a state of flux.
Verdict: A quality port so far, maybe not as high in framerates as I expected I would be able to achieve. Works right off the bat, and looks to be a great addition to your Linux list of games!
I apologize in advance if I've made any mistakes, I attempted this video to the best of my knowledge. Hopefully you can take something informational away after watching this.
