As requested, here is a quick benchmark look at CSS running on Ubuntu and Windows.

While I have tried to do this as correctly as possible, there may be instances where I made a mistake or said the wrong thing. Please forgive me and correct me, as this video was rushed.

I run through two scenarios, one is minimum graphical settings and the other is maximum graphical settings.

As far as I know, the Linux port of CSS is running on OpenGL 3 (although I'm not sure what minor version). I believe it's still utilizing ToGL, due to some of the errors I see appear in the Console still referring to D3D.

I may have made mistakes, and if I have done so, please forgive me. I've tried to do this benchmark to the best of my knowledge and capabilities.

My verdict: A solid and fun Linux port. I'm amazed that they could near match the Windows performance most of the time, despite the game's backend being entirely in D3D9.

I used GLXOSD for the OSD on Ubuntu.
I used MSI Afterburner for the OSD on Windows.

WARNING: I have no idea how this works for AMD and Intel graphics users. You may experience vastly different results. It all depends on your drivers and how well AMD and Intel decide to make them.

This is a quality Linux port from Valve, so if you are into competitive first person shooters go and buy this game! Show the developers some Linux love!
