As requested, here is a quick benchmark look at Bioshock Infinite running on Ubuntu and Windows.

Here we take a look at how VP's eON wrapper does against Windows native performance.

Nvidia 346.47 was used on Ubuntu, whilst Nvidia 347.88 was used on Windows.

If you're interested in running through the same benchmark, just add this to the launch options of Bioshock Infinite in Steam for Linux:
DefaultPCBenchmarkMap.xcmap -unattended

I run through two scenarios, one is minimum graphical settings and the other is maximum graphical settings.

The Linux port, which uses VP's eON wrapper, requires OpenGL 4 support to be runnable. The Windows port requires Direct3D 11 support to be runnable.

I may have made mistakes, and if I have done so, please forgive me and correct me in the comments. I've tried to do this benchmark to the best of my knowledge and capabilities.

My verdict: While definitely a solid Linux port, it is still quite lacking in the performance department when compared with the native Windows performance. Almost a majority of the time I am seeing less than half the framerates we see on Windows.

I used GLXOSD for the OSD on Ubuntu.
I used MSI Afterburner for the OSD on Windows.

WARNING: I have no idea how this works for AMD. You may experience vastly different results. It all depends on your drivers and how well AMD decides to make them.

This is a good fun Linux port from VP, so if you are into singleplayer story-driven first person shooters go and buy this game! Show the developers some Linux love!
