Along with his new teammate Kooper, Mario enters the Koopa Bros. Fortress, which is owned by the Koopa Bros., and he comes across some Bob-ombs which were enslaved by the Koopa Bros., and there are some Bob-ombs that were locked up in the cage.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Mario has arrived at Koopa Bros. Fortress, and when you enter, a door is locked, defeat the Koopa Troopa to get the Fortress Key, and you will be fighting Bob-ombs, they attack by jumping, but when you attack them, they light a fuse, and they will explode when defeated, if you jump on them, you will take damage, so use a Hammer or Kooper's Shell Toss to defeat them, and when Bob-ombs explode, they will be defeated instantly. Keep going till you find a locked door, hit the switch and go down the stairs, go left, and you have to defeat every enemy in the room, a Koopa Troopa and two Paratroopas, and they are where Goombario is useful for, as Kooper cannot hit flying enemies. The next room has Fire Bars, you can jump over them, and they move faster, and you can get some coins after you jump over them enough times, and at the end of the room is a Fortress Key.
In the right room is a jail cell filled with Bob-ombs, no wonder the Koopa Bros. imprisoned them after how much they exploded. It always feels strange how after playing Paper Mario: The Origami King and how they handled Bob-ombs in that game when compared to the first few Paper Mario games where Bob-ombs can explode repeatedly.
After using the Fortress Key, we find the Yellow Koopa setting up a trap, if you go outside, there is a Save Block, and you do have to hit that block and activate the trap, and you fall into the jail cell where the Bob-ombs are kept, talk to the pink Bob-omb, and after a bit of dialogue, she becomes our next party member, so we get two party members in one chapter, because it wasn't long when Kooper joined us. Going over Bombette, her field skill has her walk a bit and then explode, she can destroy cracked walls, and you can use it to get first strikes against enemies, and in battle, she has Body Slam, where she charges at an enemy, and Bomb, which is very powerful at this point in the game, as it deals 5 damage at this point in the game, making Bombette one of the best partners in the early game, while Bomb is good in battle, we have Kooper who can hit multiple enemies with Power Shell, and Goombario is the only partner we currently have that can hit flying enemies.
When you leave the cell, a Koopa Troopa and two Bob-ombs appear and you battle against them, this is a good way to test out Bombette in battle, and you can use Bombette to blow up the wall in the room where we set the trap, and you can get the Refund badge, when you use an item when this badge is equipped, you earn 75% of the standard price of the item, while good this early on, there is a better way to get money in this game. I did at first consider doing all of Koopa Bros. Fortress in one video, but I decided to have Bombette's recruitment be in this video, while the next part will be the fight against the Koopa Bros. at the end.
