I play through Classic Mode with Sheik, now as her own character, and she was made a lot better in this game compared to Brawl, while Sheik is all about getting off some speedy combos, and she is placed in the higher tiers, which is an improvement to her mid-to-low tier placing in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Time to go over Classic Mode in this game, in Rounds 1 to 3, you fight against characters with their default costumes, in Rounds 4 and 5, you fight against characters that use their alternate costumes, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and in the final round, you go up against Master Hand, or you fight against Crazy Hand as well on a higher Intensity, but on an even higher Intensity, you fight Master Core.
I will go over Sheik's custom moves, as this is the only Smash Bros. game to have custom moves, her neutral special is Needle Storm, which was buffed in this game, and for the custom variants of that move, the first one is Penetrating Needles, where Sheik throws needles that go through opponents, but up to three can be thrown at a time, and it has an electric effect. The other variant is Paralyzing Needle, where Sheik throws one needle which deals less damage and paralyzes opponents, but the charging time is slower. Then her side special of Burst Grenade, which replaces Chain, and the grenade pulls in opponents before exploding. The custom variants for Burst Grenade are Gravity Grenade, which does not have a draw in effect and it deals less damage, and enemies hit by the blast are drawn towards Sheik, allowing her to get in some combos, and the other variant is Skimming Grenade, where the grenade bounces on the ground, and the explosion deals less damage, but the bounces can deal up to three times the damage. Then her up special of Vanish, and the custom variants for that move are Gale, otherwise called Instant Warp in the European version, which does not deal damage, but it is faster and has increased movement range, and the other custom variant is Abyss, where the explosion has a meteor effect, and it has less distance. Then her down special is Bouncing Fish, which is similar to Zero Suit Samus's Flip Jump, and when Sheik hits an opponent with that move, she bounces back. The first custom variant for that move is Jellyfish, where Sheik flips higher and slams downward with her heel, and if the kick lands, she can bounce right up, it deals less damage than Bouncing Fish, and the other variant for that move is Pisces, where Sheik flips lower and it has more knockback, you do have to press the button again to attack when using that move.
Unlike Zelda's Light Arrow, Sheik's isn't as powerful, but it can KO opponents at mid percentages, and it deals more damage, but it has less knockback. I do prefer using Sheik in this game than with Ultimate, because Sheik got nerfed in that game, to the point where her moves cannot KO at even 100% damage, the best she had for moves were her smash attacks.
