I play through Classic Mode as Ganondorf, from his lowest placement in the tier list in Brawl where he placed last, and he did get buffed between this game and Brawl, but he still remains a low tier character, Ganondorf is the third slowest dash speed and the second slowest walk speed in the game, with Jigglypuff being slower than Ganondorf in both of them, and the slowest dash speed in the game being Robin. Ganondorf is the fifth heaviest character in the game, the first four being Bowser, Donkey Kong, King Dedede, and Charizard, and while Ganondorf is a slow heavyweight, he is a powerhouse, although his low speed is a disadvantage against speedier characters.
Ganondorf is an unlockable character in the 3DS version, to unlock him, you have to complete Classic Mode on Intensity 5.0 or higher as Link or Zelda or play 80 Vs. Matches, in the Wii U version, Ganondorf is on the starting roster, making it the first and only time Ganondorf has ever been a starter character.
As with Classic Mode, in Rounds 1 to 3, you fight characters in their default costumes, in Rounds 4 and 5, you fight characters with their alternate costumes, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and at the end, you fight Master Hand, or on a higher Intensity, you fight Crazy Hand as well, or even Master Core, the starting form is based on the Intensity.
Then for Ganondorf's custom moves, as this is the only game in the series to have custom moves, and one of them is really interesting, while his neutral special is Warlock Punch, his Reverse Warlock Punch can even KO at low percentages. Going over the custom variants of Warlock Punch, the first one is Warlock Blade, where Ganondorf uses his sword, and the attack deals less damage than Warlock Punch, but if the tip of the blade connects, it deals even more damage, this was the only time in the Super Smash Bros. series prior to Ultimate where Ganondorf uses his sword, because in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Ganondorf uses his sword for his smash attacks. The second custom variant is Warlock Thrust, which is faster than Warlock Punch and creates an explosion which deals less knockback, and if Ganondorf's fist connects, it deals more damage, and it is one of the worse custom moves in the game as it does not KO until 300%, doesn't even help that Ganondorf is one of the worse characters in the game.
Ganondorf's side special is Flame Choke, and the first custom variant for that move is Flame Wave, which deals more damage and grabbed opponents are launched into the air and it has high knockback, the other variant is Flame Chain, Ganondorf does not grab opponents when using it, it hits multiple times while Ganondorf is dashing, and it can pass through shields. Then up special of Dark Dive, the first custom variant for that move is Dark Fists, instead of grabbing the opponent, Ganondorf punches opponents into the air and then hits them in midair to send them higher, making it better than Dark Dive, the other variant is Dark Vault, where Ganondorf jumps twice, but he can only grab opponents at the start of each jump, and it is weaker as it cannot KO until around 400%. Then his down special of Wizard's Foot, the first custom variant for that move is Wizard's Dropkick, Ganondorf jumps into the air and then does a flying kick that travels further, but it deals less damage, the other custom move is Wizard's Assault, which is a faster flying kick that goes through opponents, the kick goes straight down if used in the air, and it is much weaker than its other variants.
