We found dynamite in this abandoned mine! As Tom, Julie, and I continued our exploration and documentation of the Pleasanton Mine, we found two sticks of dynamite in a lower level of the mine. Other fascinating finds included the wheel assembly of an ore cart which still rolled on the ore cart tracks, a Cutler-Hammer ventilation fan, a winch above an inclined shaft, a skip car with talc ore still in it at the bottom of another inclined shaft, and tons of classic mine timbering (everybody's favorite!). Believe it or not, there was an even lower level in the talc mine, but we chose to not descend to it due to there being a lot of collapse on the way down to it. Enjoy the video and let me know what you think in the comments!
