Here is the next Pokémon for Surprise Trade, and for that one, I went with mostly Fairy-type Pokémon, and the one chosen for this week is Milcery. I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I went with Calm for the Nature, as Milcery has Special Defense for its best stat when it evolves. To evolve Milcery into Alcremie, it needs to hold one of the Sweets and you need to spin, the type of Sweet and the direction of the spin is what determines Alcremie's form. Some Milcery that I have for Surprise Trade do have the Hidden Ability of Aroma Veil, as this is a good support Ability to have.
Milcery only has two Egg Moves, it learns Baby-Doll Eyes and Last Resort, it can get Baby-Doll Eyes from Mimikyu, and it can get Last Resort from Snubbull, Pachirisu, and Indeedee. It does have Tackle and Aromatic Mist, which are two of Milcery's starting level up moves.
For its level up moves, Milcery can learn Sweet Kiss, Sweet Scent, Draining Kiss, Charm, Attract, Acid Armor, Dazzling Gleam, Recover, Misty Terrain, and Entrainment. When evolved into Alcremie, it learns its signature move Decorate, but other than that, its level up moves don't change, and while it is best to evolve Milcery right away, you can only get the Sweets in the Terarium, which can be a downside to players that get Milcery for their Surprise Trade challenge run, but you can bring it over to Sword & Shield and evolve it there, as the Sweets are easy to obtain in that game.
Next is TMs, and I will go over what Alcremie can learn, it can get Fake Tears, Disarming Voice, Magical Leaf, Stored Power, Psyshock, Drain Punch, Light Screen, Metronome, Imprison, Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Psychic, Encore, Calm Mind, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Solar Beam, Tera Blast, Misty Explosion, Pain Split, Endeavor, and Alluring Voice.
Alcremie is a Pokémon that tends to be better in Double Battles, but it is a decent Fairy-type Pokémon in Single Battles, as it has good Special Defense and access to moves like Calm Mind and Acid Armor, and its Aroma Veil protects it from moves like Taunt or Encore. It does get the new Alluring Voice, while it has the same power as Dazzling Gleam, Alluring Voice does have a secondary effect where it will confuse the opponent if they have boosted one of their stats on that turn. It can get Draining Kiss and Giga Drain for healing moves, and it does get Recover for that as well, and Psychic for a coverage option, for Tera Type, Alcremie's best options are Water or Steel as those are good defensive Tera Types to work with, Fire can work with Tera Blast to handle Steel-type opponents as Alcremie can no longer learn Mystical Fire in this game.
Alcremie is a good support Pokémon in Double Battles, its signature move Decorate increases the Attack and Special Attack of its teammate, and it can get Dazzling Gleam to hit both targets, while Alluring Voice can be good for a single target Fairy-type move. It does get some support options like Helping Hand, Encore, Recover, and Baby-Doll Eyes, and as it is a support Pokémon, you are not that likely to Terastallize it, and Sweet Veil is better in Double Battles to protect temmates from falling asleep.
Alcremie's signature move Decorate is great in Tera Raid Battles, if a teammate cannot learn Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, that is where Alcremie comes in. While moves like Dragon Dance, Bulk Up, and Quiver Dance do boost attacking stats, they only boost them by one stage, while Swords Dance and Nasty Plot boost them by two stages, Decorate boosts both attacking stats by two stages, and this even pair with Swords Dance or Nasty Plot to get them to +6 Attack or +6 Special Attack quicker. Alcremie can even use moves like Helping Hand, Fake Tears, Charm, and Light Screen to help out in battle. It's a good ally in Tera Raid Battles with moves like Encore, examples include Politoed, Clefable, or opposing Alcremie, while for Pokémon that learn moves that put opponents to sleep, like Hypnosis, Spore, or Yawn, examples include Gallade, Milotic, and Alolan Exeggutor for Hypnosis users, Breloom, Amoonguss, and Toedscruel for Spore users, and for Yawn users, those being Vaporeon, Torkoal, Sylveon, Dondozo, Snorlax, and Quagsire, that is where Alcremie's Sweet Veil comes to use.
When going through the game, it is a decent Fairy-type with good Special Defense, but the downside to using Alcremie in this game is that the Sweets used to evolve Milcery can only be obtained in the Terarium, and you can't even access it till you have completed the main story and The Teal Mask, unless you have Sword or Shield and Pokémon HOME, that way you can bring Milcery over to the Gen 8 games and evolve it there in order to use Alcremie early on for those doing like a Surprise Trade challenge run, it will want the Disarming Voice TM until it learns Draining Kiss at Level 15, which is the first Fairy-type move it learns.
