Next up from the friends of Paldea is Arven, who we helped out during the Path of Legends quest where we took on Titan Pokémon in a quest to find Herba Mystica, as well as gone down Area Zero to locate his parent, the professor, at Zero Lab. For Arven's interactions, he can interact with Salvatore, Saguaro, Nemona, Penny, Crispin, Carmine, and Kieran.
Time to go over Arven's team, and he uses the same Pokémon that he had when we fought him at the end of Path of Legends and has stuck with that team ever since, he has no new additions to the team.
Greedent: Bullet Seed, Body Slam, Psychic Fangs, Earthquake
Cloyster: Rock Blast, Icicle Spear, Liquidation, Light Screen
Scovillain: Fire Blast, Energy Ball, Zen Headbutt, Crunch
Toedscruel: Power Whip, Earth Power, Spore, Sludge Bomb
Garganacl: Stone Edge, Earthquake, Body Press, Stealth Rock
Mabosstiff: Crunch, Psychic Fangs, Fire Fang, Play Rough

Arven can prove to be a challenging opponent, as he did prove at the end of Path of Legends, and this is the same team he had back then. To go over each of his Pokémon, he leads with Greedent, this Pokémon is very resilient, it has a lot of HP and some good coverage moves in Psychic Fangs and Earthquake. Cloyster has Rock Blast and Icicle Spear which pair well with its Skill Link, it shouldn't be too hard as it has very low Special Defense, his Scovillain has Fire Blast and Energy Ball for powerful STAB moves, as well as Crunch and Zen Headbutt for type coverage. Toedscruel has good Special Defense and knows Spore, it has two physical moves, if you have a good Ice-type attacker, that can be a good counter to it, and his Garganacl is very defensive, it can set up Stealth Rock and it can use Body Press which goes well with its high Defense stat. Arven's last Pokémon is Mabosstiff, the Pokémon that has been on his side ever since it was a Maschiff and helped restore during the Herba Mystica quest, Arven will Terastallize his Mabosstiff to a Dark Tera Type, powering up Crunch, and it does have some powerful physical moves like Psychic Fangs and Play Rough, and it has Fire Fang to handle Bug and Steel-type Pokémon.
After the battle, Arven gives you a set of Sandwich Cases as a gift, and on your third interaction, he will trade you a Skwovet for any of your Pokémon. Skwovet comes with its basic level up moves at Level 7, but for some reason, Bulbapedia displays Skwovet's moveset as the ones it would have at Level 45, but anyway, this Skwovet comes with a Fighting Tera Type and it has the Hidden Ability of Gluttony. It comes with a Partner Ribbon, giving it the title "Arven's Skwovet", the Fighting Tera Type pairs very well with Body Press when it evolves into Greedent, and it has a Gentle Nature, not really the best you want on Skwovet, but at least it does come with a rare Ability.
