The next Gym that I take on is Azalea Gym, this one uses Bug-type Pokémon. There are two Trainers to take on, and the Gym Leader Bugsy, some of the Trainers use Pokémon of different types to help against the types the Bug-type is weak to, and this one shouldn't be too hard as this is the beginning of the Gym Leader Castle.
I went with a bunch of Fire-type Pokémon, like Charizard and Quilava are good choices, any Fire-type Pokémon that have moves like Flamethrower or Fire Blast are good choices to pick. Graveler and Phanpy are picked for Ground-type options to help against the Pikachu in the second battle, and I chose Omanyte to handle the Rock-type Pokémon, and Aerodactyl has AncientPower to take on the Gym Leader's Pokémon.
I will list each Trainers, and the nicknames of the Pokémon, with the species name of the Pokémon in brackets, as well as their held item.
Battle 1: Bug Catcher Chaz
Yanmy (Yanma): Swift, Foresight, Quick Attack, SonicBoom (PRZCureBerry)
Spinary (Spinarak): Psychic, Night Shade, Scary Face, Dig (PSNCureBerry)
Shuckly (Shuckle): Rollout, Constrict, Rock Smash, Bide (Burnt Berry)
Rattaty (Rattata): Hyper Fang, Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Dig (Mint Berry)
Parasy (Paras): Slash, Leech Life, Dig, Stun Spore (SilverPowder)
Geody (Geodude): Dig, Harden, Rock Throw, Tackle (Hard Stone)

Battle 2: Twins Min & Lyn
Ledled (Ledyba): Sweet Scent, Comet Punch, Supersonic, Double-Edge (PRZCureBerry)
Sunsun (Sunkern): Sweet Scent, Mega Drain, Absorb, Growth (Mint Berry)
Jiggjigg (Jigglypuff): Charm, Body Slam, Disable, Nightmare (Bitter Berry)
Hophop (Hoppip): Sweet Scent, Mega Drain, Tackle, Cotton Spore (Miracle Seed)
Pikapika (Pikachu): Charm, ThunderShock, Thunder Wave, Swift (Light Ball)
Clefclef (Clefairy): Charm, DoubleSlap, Metronome, Light Screen (PSNCureBerry)

Battle 3: Gym Leader Bugsy
Scyther: Fury Cutter, Wing Attack, Slash, Hyper Beam (PRZCureBerry)
Butterfree: Psychic, Giga Drain, Gust, Nightmare (PSNCureBerry)
Beedrill: Twineedle, Poison Sting, Sludge Bomb, Cut (Mint Berry)
Weepinbell: Razor Leaf, Sludge Bomb, Cut, Wrap (Berry)
Pinsir: Strength, Submission, Bind, Seismic Toss (Bitter Berry)
Pupitar: Rock Slide, Earthquake, Headbutt, Sleep Talk (Ice Berry)

The first two battles aren't too hard, although the second battle has moves like Charm and Sweet Scent which reduce the opponent's stats. To go over items, don't know why Bug Catcher Chaz has the PSNCureBerry on his Spinarak, when Poison-type Pokémon can't even be poisoned in the first place. Paras has the SilverPowder to boost the power of Bug-type moves, and Geodude has the Hard Stone to boost the power of Rock-type moves, and it is a 10% boost, not 20% starting from Generation 4. In the second battle, Pikachu has a Light Ball, this item doubles Pikachu's Special Attack stat when equipped, but at least it has the weak ThunderShock instead of more powerful options like Thunderbolt.
Bugsy uses various Bug-type Pokémon, and he will always use Scyther, as that was his ace Pokémon in the Game Boy games. His Weepinbell is there to counter Rock-type Pokémon, and Pupitar is there to handle Fire-type Pokémon. I do see some unusual move choices, Butterfree has Nightmare, which only works if the target is asleep, and it doesn't even have Sleep Powder to put that to use, and Pupitar has Sleep Talk, yet doesn't have Rest. A Water-type like Omanyte or Quagsire are good options to use to take out the Pupitar, while a Fire-type can deal with the rest, if you chose Aerodactyl, its AncientPower can take out everything except Pupitar, and Weepinbell takes neutral damage from Rock-type moves.
