I can't believe I stumbled upon so many goofs in this game. The unskippable chair spin makes me laugh, though the poisoned water needing to be blacked out to clean and grendizer not getting wet is lazy. I got an enemy stuck in the air, the camera stuck, and my character bounced off an invisible wall and warped.
So embarrassing let alone every level is the same escort missions, no environment interaction (platforming later on is a pain) and searching for upgrades, though the shoot 'em up parts have generous health and break up the monotony (let alone the Go Nagai creator cameo for the explaining the super robot).
A map or each level would've been nice too (for finding radio towers to traverse old levels) but there are waypoints to the next area (though I had 1 game over glitch immediately going to the wrong area mid mission whereas Tokyo warns you about leaving).
I do admit the combat and finishers can be cool, as well as shielded enemies forcing you to use antigravity storm (V icon) punch or double harken axe.
The game is under 7 hours (probably why you waste time outside the robot to talk to everyone even though there is nothing to pick up so it could've been all visual novel cutscenes) and maybe worth a try on sale if you liked the anime. I had the Vega skin for the jumping glitch. I wouldn't buy the overpriced dlc for 1 level and prince outfit.
I guess I'll still use youtube for vids if I get an idea too good to pass up as despite its flaws (ads to fast forward/mute, comment deletion and clickbait) there are some nice videos on let alone this is fun to preserve.
