Remnant 2 // Abomination - Merciless Meatshield Modspams Meatball (AR-SU) - Apocalypse - No Hit
Alright, here you go @UnkleSurvivor, hitless Abomination with no fitness :)
This build had a pretty cursed beginning, but ended up being somewhat practical. Previously I've mentioned how mods tend to have no or low weakspot modifiers, and so tend to do worse vs weakspot bosses. Bloodline however has a higher WS modifier than most mods, around +40%, making it a decent anti-WS option for a mod build. It's an outlier in terms of its dmg:cost ratio too, offering 720 damage for only 227 cost in my setup, making it very spammable if built right.
The real kicker though is: you get 50% more damage for each enemy penetrated, which includes your summons...so why not use our pet Reaver as a 2-way meat shield?
In practice, Abomination moved around way too much for this to work, but it ended up being a fun run anyway with a decent time comparable to a HUGS sniper swaps. Maybe with a more static boss this could work more reliably. Corruptor alt-kill?

Archetypes:
- Archon Prime with Chaos Gate as standard for modspam. Reality Rune wouldn't be bad either with all the shit Abomination throws at you.
- Summoner has the next highest mod damage passive, and the Reaver is our tankiest boi for any penetration shenanigans. Alchemist also wouldn't be a bad shout since Frenzy Dust will boost our Bloodline firerate too.
Weapons & Mods:
- Merciless slots into your standard devloop setups pretty simply, with some easy synergy with Abrasive Whetstone too, but we're taking the modspam route here. Interestingly, once you've applied Bleed on the target, Bloodline appears to refresh the bleed with each shot, even though it usually doesn't apply it, so you shouldn't ever need to switch back to your primary to refresh it. Failsafe gives us that mod damage boost as well as some occasional free charges for spam.
- Free choice of secondary here, main thing is taking a fire-and-forget mod like Fargazer as we'll have our hands full spamming Bloodline. I went with Harmonizer here, though actually its mod damage boost doesn't seem to work with it - not really a big deal though since we won't be firing it much at all.
Trinkets:
- Abrasive Whetstone is an easy pick for Merciless. Ravager's Mark gets mentioned sometimes but its more appealing for DoT builds rather than direct damage ones.
- Burden of the Follower for that huge +50% mod gen. The firerate penalty does actually hurt our modspam DPS a little, but the mod gen is well worth it. White Pawn Stamp brings that mod cost down a little further with no penalty.
- Akari Warband, your standard crit pick for bosses, Zania's your standard weakspot pick. Weakspot bonuses in particular help Bloodline a lot, since it starts with a lower weakspot modifier than guns.
Traits:
- Spirit for modspam, with Triage and Regrowth to offset the drain from Reprocessed Heart.
- Rugged & Kinship for the jank Reaver penetration strat, but you could easily drop this if you want to play serious.
Consumables:
- Bottled Shaedberry for mod gen
Relic:
- Reprocessed Heart for maximum Modspam, with Runed Heart as the safer alternative.
- Mod Damage, Mod Cost, and Firerate for our fragments.
Armour:
- Take your pick. Be yourself.
Playstyle:
- Pop the relic, release the Reaver and Fargazer, apply Bleed and go to town. If you can get shots through your Reaver, all the better, but don't force it. Refresh the relic if the fight's still going.
