Remnant 2 // Magister Dullain - Flowing Life Warlock (Archon-Medic, Starkiller) - Apocalypse No Hit
Want to modspam without ever firing your gun? Well look no further...
Key to this build is the interaction between Necklace of Flowing Life and Burden of the Warlock - Burden of the Warlock not only reduces mod cost by 15%, it also converts 15% of your Health into Grey Health - Necklace of Flowing Life then generates 5x that amount as Mod Power, i.e. 75% of your HP as mod power every time you fire a mod. Combined with mod generation buffs from Archon Prime and Follower, we can get well over double that with each mod use, meaning we can modswap without firing a single shot from our primary fire!
I'm trying this out with a Starkiller and Enigma combo, but the Flowing Life & Warlock interaction will work with other mods too, so feel free to experiment!

Archetypes:
- Archon Prime, as Tempest is key to any modspam build. I've gone with Chaos Gate, but honestly that's only really good if you can stay put. We won't be relying on it in any case.
- Medic is a perfect secondary - with all that grey health conversion, being able to take a couple more hits before losing our grey health completely is amazing. I'm taking Healing Shield as a panic button - if too much health dips into the grey, just whack it on. You could also go Summoner for slightly more of a Mod damage passive, but it'd be a bad pick in this case with the risk of friendly fire from Gravcore.
Weapons & Mods:
- Since we can modspam without firing a single shot, your weapon choices are irrelevant, and we have a lot of choice over our mods - just avoid duration mods, which can't be spammed. The only other warning is that the lower the cost of the mod, the riskier it gets, since Burden of the Warlock deducts health with every mod use.
- In this fight I went with Starkiller and Enigma, which works particularly well with slower-moving bosses. Gravity Core, while having a weaker pull than Firestorm, can help keep enemies in a web of Chaos Drivers, while doing good damage when it explodes. I settle into a rhythm of generating a Gravity Core with 3 shots of Chaos Driver, and over 2 charges of Chaos Driver with each Gravcore.
- Harmonizer and Failsafe are our gun mutators of choice for their mod damage buffs and mod generation. While I didn't use it for this fight, Transference would be a great fit for melee, since our guns will likely be on full ammo so we can get even more mod generation with each melee hit.
Trinkets:
- Flowing Life and Burden of the Warlock are the key components to this build, letting mod use generate even more mod power. Burden of the Follower gives us another tasty buff to our mod generation.
- Burden of the Gambler and Shard Banded Ring are our damage picks, though Akari Warband could be substituted for either if you'll be perfect dodging often in the fight. Gambler's burden is of little consequence to us since we're not going for weakspots anyway with Gravcore and Chaos Driver. Burden of the Destroyer would also work well since we're barely firing our guns anyway.
- Depending on how much mod generation you need for your mod pairs, White Pawn Stamp, Burden of the Mariner, or Deep Silicon Ring might also be good picks in place of one of your damage rings.
Traits:
- Vigor is important not just for survivability, as the higher our health, the more gets converted into mod power through Warlock and Flowing Life. Fortify for survivability.
- Spirit is key for modspam. Expertise isn't essential, particularly if you take Burden of the Mariner.
- Some combination of Siphoner, Bloodstream and/or Regrowth will help offset the constant grey health conversion.
Consumables:
- Bottled Shaedberry, for the modgen.
Relic:
- While we could go with the usual Reprocessed or Runed Hearts for modspam, I prefer Salvaged Heart for this build, letting us quickly convert all that grey health back to red when we're in trouble. Tranquil Heart is another good pick if you want more passive heals to counter the gray health conversion instead.
- For fragments, Mod Damage and Mod Cost are obvious picks. I went with Firerate here for faster spam, but increased Health would work too for more grey health / mod power converted.
Armour:
- Take your pick, I went Void for R1 Rhom fashion.
Playstyle:
- Don't even fire your primary, just spam your mods, switching to your other mod when once is out of charge. If you have a good spot to hole up, you can whack down Chaos Gate, but it's not essential.
- If too much of your health is in the grey, or you run out of mod charge, pop a relic to reset your rotation. Use your Healing Shield as a panic button whenever you're in trouble.
- For this mod pair, fire one Gravcore for every 3 Chaos Driver. When using Chaos Driver, remember to just shoot one rod into the enemy, then fire the rest of your rods into the ground around them, linking as many tethers together as possible. Refresh the rod in the boss every 10s.
