Repton 3 Teens Level 8
0The final level of Teens contains one of the game's most easily overlooked shortcuts: the spirit in the first room can be released into the top-right cage at the start of the level, saving one double journey across the top to unblock it later on. However, in order to take full advantage of the time gained by this shortcut, the cage in the top-left must be connected in a rather unusual way.
Another point to note is that when making a path from the bottom to the top of the level, I clear some earth so that I can get out of the top-left room the quickest way, by pushing the rock, without this blocking access to the room containing the egg.
If you have played Superior Interactive's PC version of Repton, you may notice that the level title ("First Date Blues") is different from what it used to be. Nearly all of the Around the World, Life of Repton and Repton Thru Time levels were originally given very simple titles due to a production rush; Jonathan and I were recently given the task of choosing more imaginative new titles for all of these levels. We've tried to make the level title in each case appropriate to both the scenario theme and the individual level as well as we could.
