We’re only days away from the beginning of E3 2021, so Headlines & Hot Takes revolves around all of our E3 predictions. We go through all of the scheduled media briefings and presentations, and what exactly we might see at each of them. We chat about what Square Enix might show off at their second Square Enix Presents show, such as the heavily rumoured Guardians of the Galaxy game, and we speculate on whether or not we’ll see a new Tomb Raider and more on Final Fantasy 16. We also discuss Ubisoft Forward, and what the French publisher will show off. While they’ve confirmed that Far Cry 6, Riders Republic and the newly named Rainbow Six Extraction will be there, we wonder whether we’ll get a re-reintroduction for Beyond Good and Evil 2 or – maybe – we’ll get an announcement of a new Splinter Cell or Rayman… probably not, though.
We also go properly in-depth on Xbox E3 and what Microsoft and Bethesda will be showing off during their E3 conference. Of course, it goes without saying that we’ll get another look at Halo Infinite, but aside from that it’s all up in the air. Will we get Fable? Does Forza Motorsport 8 or Forza Horizon 5 fill the car spot? On the Bethesda side of things, will we finally see some Starfield gameplay? Will we get confirmation of a Ghostwire Tokyo release date? Or how about Elder Scrolls 6 or Indiana Jones or something else entirely? It’s all to play for.
Our E3 predictions don’t stop there: we chat Elden Ring, Marvel XCOM, the possibility of Kojima’s next game, the new BioShock and more chat on games that we’d like to see at E3 2021.
This week's Mystery Steam Reviews is all about games set on spaceships, space stations, space bases and all sorts of space buildings. And we round out the show by opening The Weekspot mailbag to answer your Burning Questions on Resident Evil Village’s funniness and the origins of usernames.
