In the world of gaming, there are 2 types of people. There are those who absolutely love and adore the original Xbox 360 controller, and then there are the rest of us who think it's okay at best, one of the least comfortable controllers at worst. I fall into the latter category as I really do not have much, if anything, good to say about the 360 controller. Thankfully, we've seen more and more companies step up to make new controllers for the Xbox 360, and the latest comes from one of my favorite controller manufacturers, Retro Fighters. They have changed the game with their new Hunter 360 for the Xbox 360. Let's take a look.

Pre-Order at https://retrofighters.com/our-collection/hunter-360-next-gen-xbox360-wireless-controller/

The Hunter 360 boasts advanced Hall Effect analog sticks, ultra-reliable 2.4GHz wireless technology, and an impressive 1000Hz low-latency response, ensuring peak performance and seamless gameplay like never before.

Key Features:
Compatible with original XBOX 360 and PC
2.4 GHz wireless technology
1000Hz Polling rate for better performance and ultra-low latency
Wireless range of over 30 feet
Hall effect analog sticks – no drift, ever
Battery life of 10+ hours per charge
Includes USB-A receiver for both 360 and PC
USB-C charging port
Variable rumble intensity macro
Built-in stick calibration mode
Supports Xinput/Dinput modes as well as Steam and Android devices

Looking at the photos one of the biggest improvements I see is the removal of the battery hump on the back. This, to me, was one of the worst "features" of the original controller. I kept bumping my fingers into the battery pack and it annoyed the daylights out of me.

I do like the improvements that appear to have been made with the D-Pad too. Let's face it, the Xbox 360's D-Pad was not well designed, and it felt horrible. This looks to be of a similar design to some of the other more recent Retro Fighters releases, which is a good thing.

What do you think? Is this something you'd pickup and try? Share your thoughts in the comments!
