We Want These 3 Game Libraries Added To The Switch Online Service
27The Nintendo Switch 2 will be here before you know it, but one of the things about Nintendo consoles, dating back to the Nintendo Wii, has been the ability to play systems from the Past. with the Wii and Wii U, we had access to tons of different systems, but on the Switch Online we've only had access to the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance. Why not more? Well, Nintendo has announced the GameCube is coming to Switch 2, which got me thinking what systems would I like to see added to the Switch Online Service? Let's take a look at what 3 game libraries I want added.
Atari 2600 (And ColecoVision and Intellivision)
Listen, I know these systems are for the old farts out there like me, but there's no great way to play most of these systems on modern televisions. Sure, there's the Blaze Entertainment Evercade which has some of these games on different cartridges, but the penetration and adoption of those systems is very small. Having the 2600 on the Switch would be awesome.
Sega Master System
I love Nintendo, I've worn that on my sleeve, but I have to admit in many ways the Sega Master System was a superior console. It had less lag, less flashing of characters, superior sound, it was just great. We had the Master System on the Wii, and it was terrific. I'd love to see this classic system return and make it available to others who have never experienced it. Games like the SMS version of Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Rampage, and others would be great.
TurboGrafx 16 (And PC Engine)
Perhaps the most underrated video game system of the 80s and 90s (Yes, more so than anything Sega put out!) is the TurboGrafx 16. In an era when the NES was king in the US, the PC Engine was killing it in Japan and Europe. Bonk's Adventure is such a fantastic series that people need to play. There's also great SHMUPS and shooters, and an underrated version of Street Fighter 2! I'd love more people to have access to this fantastic system and a reasonable price.
