This video constitutes a few dozen outtakes and several successful demos, mostly in clip form, for the challenge of scoring the secret and all kills on Scythe's Map 22 'Despair' from a pistol start, while taking no damage, whatsoever, a.k.a. UV Max + Reality. This culminates in the new World Record demo for this challenge. There is commentary throughout the video, most of it streamed live on Twitch as I played the map.

Scythe is a 32-map limit-removing megawad for Doom 2 released in 2003 by Erik Alm and Kim 'Torn' Bach and can be downloaded for free from:

At the time of writing this my WR demo is not yet official on the DSDA; hopefully there is no problem with it :-)

Maybe the high number of attempts I needed on this challenge would have been lower if I had started playing the map with more cautious tactics to get a successful run under my belt sooner. I don't believe I was disrespectful of the map's difficulty --- even though there are no hitscan enemies at all, the cyberdemon is in a fairly narrow area and the revenants are numerous.
Behind the blue door is another tricky BFG shot: I want to kill the vile and get plenty of tracers on the other enemies too; it just doesn't happen sometimes because the nobles arrive unpredictably by teleporting.

Stand by for Doom 2's Map 26 'The Abandoned Mines' which is the last Doom 2 map to have no No Damage run that I am aware of: I completed Map 29 in Autumn 2020, Maps 27 and 28 have been done by Overmind and Map 30 by 4ShockBlast.
