This video comprises several outtakes, mostly in clip form, and one successful demo for the challenge of scoring all monsters, items and secrets from a pistol start on Scythe's Map 29 'Hell On Earth' while taking no damage, whatsoever, a.k.a. 'No Damage Completion.' There is commentary throughout the video, most of it broadcast live on Twitch as I streamed my attempts. Follow me at:

Scythe is a popular vanilla-compatible 32-map Doom 2 megawad released in 2003 by Erik Alm and Kim 'Torn' Bach which can be downloaded for free from: https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/scythe
Special thanks to MtPain27 for permission to use his commentary in the last few minutes of the video. The clip I used was taken from his 'Scythe - Dean Of Doom - S1E14' video of November 2020, which you can see here: • SCYTHE - DEAN OF DOOM - S1E14
If I had just stuck with my first strategy, I would have probably succeeded within about 100 attempts and had a simpler video to make. I was seduced by the idea of subverting Erik Alm's intended route for this highly linear map, by using a Zero Press for the first time in a No Damage challenge. You can find out more about Zero Master's discovery of the technique here: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/95544-a-new-trick-discovery-zero-press/
The chaingunner I call the 'Loose Gunner' starts in the red key building, at the window facing the Town Square. I cannot avoid him being activated and his movement within the building is unpredictable. In some attempts I got the better of him at the back of the building (opposite the BFG secret) but he also came down the stairs sometimes soon after I made the Zero Press, causing extra danger with his unexpected arrival when I'm dealing with the Hell Knights.
Another interesting point is that my solution for fighting the gang of 3 cyberdemons as safely as possible was to make the SR50 jump from the red key building, but it turned out very neatly to ALSO help me activate the third shotgun guy at the red brick lift, which is the crucial step in the whole Zero Press strategy. Even though that BFG shot on the last two shotgun guys looks perfectly safe, I still screwed it up at least once :-(
The new strategy also tempted me to use the BFG to deal with the plasma rifle fight quickly. This works pretty well but I wasn't convinced it was reliable enough, so I stuck with the safe strategy shown in the video.
The eagle-eyed among you may notice that I inserted my own footage with Mount Pain's commentary in the Outro! Please join us for Fire And Ice Practice from Friday 10th January. I'll really appreciate your support.
