This video comprises dozens of clips, including outtakes and successful runs, for the challenge of scoring all monsters from a pistol start on Scythe's Map 23 'Anger' while taking No Damage whatsoever, a.k.a. UV Max + Reality (map has no secrets). For my first successful run I also scored all items for a cautious No Damage Completion. I then competed for faster times, culminating in a new World Record Speedrun. There is commentary throughout the video, most of it streamed live on Twitch as I played the map.

Scythe is a limit-removing 32-map megawad for Doom 2 released by Erik Alm and Kim 'Torn' Bach in 2003 which can be downloaded for free from: https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/scythe
In the end I may have gone overboard including the speedrunning attempts, it is hard to summarise nearly 6000 attempts over 20+ livestreams!
One tactic I did not manage to include in the video is that when speedrunning in the opening area, I deliberately went close to the corner nearest the blue door to activate pinkies that would often end up close to the sniping archvile's pillar, so that when I rocketed that archvile, the pinkies would die to splash damage. However, those pinkies would also often end up in the opening area, which was not ideal.
This map has only one hitscanner, although he can be revived at the end. The cyberdemons are very difficult to kill quickly and safely, and Erik Alm makes it tricky to use them for infighting when playing carefully. Of course, the UV Max record run (Kinetic's 1:22 as of April 2024) releases pretty much everything to use the cybers effectively, but I never seriously contemplated such chaos for No Damage.
