Silent Hill 4: The Room Walkthrough Part 2: Subway World
Henry enters the mysterious hole in his bathroom. Upon exiting it, he finds himself within South Ashfield subway metro station and upon investigating it, finds out that something is horribly wrong with it as all stairwells leading back to the street level are blocked off and station itself is dark, gloomy and abandoned. As he walks through the station's upper level, Henry runs into young woman named Cynthia who believes that she is simply having a nightmare but since she is unnerved by the station's abandoned appearance, she asks Henry to lead her out, promising him a "special favor" in exchange for his help. As they start moving through the station hallway, Cynthia suddenly becomes nauseous and runs into the public bathroom. While waiting for her, Henry witnesses horrifying dog-like creatures attacking one of their own, proceeding to use their straw-like tongues to suck its blood. Upon killing them, Henry enters the bathroom in order to find Cynthia, finding another hole in the wall with Cynthia missing. Upon entering it, Henry wakes up in his bed in room 302, prompting him to wonder what really happened to him. As he gets up to investigate the rest of his apartment, Henry discovers that stand in his living room has been moved. Upon straightening it out, he finds a handgun hidden behind it and a message carved in the wall beside it, seemingly written by someone who found themselves in the same situation as Henry, having unsuccessfully attempted to escape the apartment by tunneling through the wall with the small hole left behind by the unknown person allowing Henry to secretly watch his first-door neighbor Eileen Galvin as the hole watches straight into her bedroom. As he finishes investigating the hole, Henry hears the phone in his bedroom ringing. Upon answering it, he finds Cynthia on the other end of the line as she asks him where did he go, claiming that he can enter deeper into the station by using coins she has left behind before the line suddenly cuts off. Heading back into the hole, Henry resurfaces back in the public bathroom in South Ashfield metro station and finds several coins held by a mannequin sitting in the bathroom stall. Upon taking them and opening the station turnstile, Henry heads deeper into the station, quickly confronting new threat; Highly aggressive and invincible ghosts. As he reaches the station's main platform, Henry finds Cynthia trapped within the stationary subway train and upon freeing her, proceeds to lead her off the ghost-infested platform. However, as he enters one of the service tunnels, he finds Cynthia missing again, forcing him to navigate the station on his own. Soon, Henry reaches the upper level of the station again with Cynthia contacting Henry via station's PA system, claiming to have found an exit near the station turnstile. However, she is audibly horrified, revealing that someone is stalking her before her transmission is suddenly cut off. Upon returning to the turnstile, Henry finds a handbag with its contents strewn about. Upon entering the nearby control office, Henry finds Cynthia severely injured and dying with a mysterious marking reading 16/21 being carved into her upper chest. Still desperately trying to convince herself that she is dreaming, Cynthia laments her bad state with Henry affirming her belief, unwilling to tell her that she is really dying with the young woman soon passing away in his arms. Soon afterwards, Henry inexplicably wakes up back in room 302 and overhears the ambulance sirens in front of the building. Upon coming to the living room, Henry hears the radio transmission revealing that dead woman with numbers carved in her chest has been found. Situation becomes even more clear as Henry peeks out of his apartment window and sees an ambulance and police car parked in front of the nearby subway entrance, revealing that Cynthia was actually killed within South Ashfield subway station...
