Silent Hill 4: The Room Walkthrough Part 6: Apartment World
After witnessing Richard Braintree's death, Henry leaps back into the hole in his bathroom, ending up in nightmarish version of South Ashfield Heights where he sees a blonde man in a trench coat walking down the hall of a decrepit building, stopping in front of the room 303. Following after him, Henry finds him sitting on the building's stairwell. Upon noticing Henry, man shows him a doll that he received from Eileen Galvin when she was still a child, offering it to Henry who refuses to accept it. While investigating the building, Henry finds more messages left behind by the previous occupant of the room 302 and while exploring other apartments, discovers that other residents of South Ashfield Heights harbor their own dark secrets, namely, superintendent Frank Sunderland who has kept an umbilical cord of an newborn baby he found abandoned in room 302 over 30 years prior, a resident named Mike who stalked another resident named Rachel before being brutalized and humiliated by Richard Braintree and a resident with severe cat allergy who killed his neighbor's cat with its owner having wrapped the cat's corpse into jeans that Richard physically ripped off Mike while attacking him. After eventually entering the room 303, Henry finds Eileen severely injured with young Walter Sullivan standing over her with Eileen having numbers 20/21 carved into her back. As he wakes up back in his apartment, Henry hears the sound of an ambulance siren and looks out his window just in time to see it speeding off, realizing that Eileen became Walter's newest victim. Upon checking the hole in his living room overlooking Eileen's bedroom, Henry overhears two police officers discussing the situation, revealing that Eileen is sill alive but is in critical condition with slim chances for survival with one of them suggesting that recent murders are copycat crimes emulating Walter Sullivan's modus operandi while his partner suggests that it may in fact be Sullivan, a possibility which is quickly shot down since Sullivan apparently committed suicide in prison a decade prior, making such scenario impossible and ultimately leaving the identity of the person responsible for additional murders committed after Sullivan's death a mystery. Upon checking his front door, Henry finds a strange talisman and another note from the apartment's previous occupant revealing that he deduced that numbers carved into Walter's victims are not just markings but represent a victim in sequence of 21 murders which he intends to commit for as of yet unknown purpose with Eileen having been 20th victim. Upon returning to his bathroom, Henry finds the hole filled up and inaccessible, forcing him to use a talisman he found slipped under his door on the wall of his laundry room alongside four placards he found near corpses of Walter's four victims he encountered in South Ashfield subway station, Wish House orphanage, water prison and downtown Ashfield with the items creating a new hole in the wall, allowing Henry to step back into nightmarish realm...
