0After escaping South Ashfield subway station, Henry and Eileen find themselves on the mysterious spiral staircase once more and end up back in the woods near now burned down Wish House orphanage where in addition to the regular monsters and ghosts inhabiting the horrifying reality which they are fighting to escape, they face a new threat in form of the trench coat-clad blond man who has armed himself with handgun and an assortment of other weapons and is now pursuing both Henry and Eileen with murderous intent. To make matters worse, they also run into Jasper Gein, Walter's 17th overall victim and second whose death Henry had witnessed who also came back as aggressive, burning ghost. Upon returning to room 302 which is still host to multiple supernatural occurrences, Henry finds another letter scrap from Joseph slipped under his door in which Joseph explains his doubt that the trench coat-clad man who was seen prowling around the building approximately a decade prior, soon after Walter Sullivan committed suicide was real Walter Sullivan while Sullivan who committed suicide in prison was either a patsy planted by real Sullivan or falsely accused man, revealing that the man who tried to kill Eileen and is currently pursuing her and Henry is in fact adult Walter Sullivan who is still trying to finish his killing spree started a decade prior and that he is somehow connected to the supernatural world which they are traversing. After gaining access to the basement level of the burned down Wish House orphanage building, Henry and Eileen find an altar with a book opened on the instructions revealing how to perform a ritual known as "descent of the Holy Mother" by performing 21 sacraments, a process requiring the performing party to kill 21 person in specifically ritualistic fashion with final two victims being refered to as "mother" and "receiver of wisdom" respectively...
