Stage 3 Softlock Trap in Journey to Silius (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
3,359A wild glitch appears, y'all! In Journey to Silius on the NES, there's a fairly easy way to get softlocked at the end of Stage 3.
To complete the level, it's necessary to defeat the miniboss robot at the end of Stage 3. After defeating him, he will drop a new weapon for you, and collecting this weapon will prompt the game to send you to the level end boss so you can proceed with the game.
However, if you can lure this robot miniboss into the short hallway on the left side of the miniboss room, then run to the right, the screen will scroll in such a way that the robot miniboss will de-spawn, and you will no longer be able to defeat him. In this state, you cannot finish the level, since the robot is gone, and therefore you cannot collect the weapon upgrade for defeating him. Therefore, you cannot progress to the Stage 3 boss, and you will be stuck in a softlock.
I can imagine this glitch happening naturally or accidentally to many players who are simply trying to beat this already very difficult game.
