I had high hopes in today's Ark: Survival Evolved episode. Tame a dinosaur they said. It will be easy they said. But as bright lights beam in from the night sky, I not only look for my prey, but try not to become prey myself.

But if there is one thing the online mode of Ark has taught me, it is to get back on my feet quickly. In the earliest of early game, everything is temporary. And everything can be gathered again.

What is Ark: Survival Evolved:
Ark is a game in the increasing popular survival genre that is currently in Early Access. The game has both PvP and PvE elements, where you can do standard things like craft items, build bases, and take on other players. The extra layer of Ark, and what makes it a bit more exciting to me, is that there is a substantially large PvE element as well that includes taming dinosaurs and dedicated end game content. Of course, because the game is in Early Access, it is always evolving and getting patched. But so far, WildCard, the developer, has done a great job keeping communication open and putting out updates. Plus, no zombies. Thus far, this feels like early access done right.
