With some of my at-the-time new items, I explore more of Brinstar before moving on.

Throughout this video, I get several more powerups for Missiles, Super Missiles, and Power Bomb. I'm very sure I won't get 100% of everything at this point, but I can still explore a bit.

There are some interesting things that appear here. In one extremely tall room, Samus meets a trio of rabbit-like creatures called Etecoons. They sing the "ITEM GET" song before they start wall jumping.

In case you didn't already know how to do this, first spin jump towards a wall. When you're at the wall, move away from it and then jump. The timing has to be right or you'll fall, but at long as you're spinning in the air, you can do this as much as you like toward any wall.

There's also an ostrich-like creature in Brinstar, too. It's called a Dachora. It tries to teach you how to use your Speed Booster to make an incredible jump called the Shinespark.

First, keep running until you turn blue, then crouch and then jump in place. Samus will then launch herself into the air until she hits the ceiling. Doing this consumes energy so remember that to. You can also do this horizontally and diagonally.

Remember that huge underwater tube near one end of Brinstar? If you Power Bomb it, you can break it open and begin traveling through Zebes' underwater region: Maridia

You must have the Gravity Suit here if you are to easily travel through the water well. I get some capacity items from here, too.

Maridia also has its own creatures in it. They're turtle-like creatures called Tatoris. A big one is seen with his babies: Tatori Jrs. If you can stand on the big one's shell, he'll give you boost to look for some items. I think I missed an Energy Tank there.
