I play through Classic Mode with Snake in this video, one of the two Third-Party characters that was first included in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Snake being from the Metal Gear series, developed by Konami, and he was cut from Smash 4, and now brought back to this game. What I usually do when playing through Classic Mode is that I randomize a list to decide who my next few characters will be, and my playlist will display the fighters in order of how they are displayed on the roster. Snake's Classic Mode route is Weapons and Equipment OSP, that stands for On-Site Procurement, referencing the condition of many of Snake's missions in the Metal Gear series, and his opponents are characters that use projectile weapons, and all items that spawn are projectile weapons or explosives, like the Ray Gun, Smart Bomb, those kinds of items.
To unlock Snake, there are many different ways, one of them is through Vs. Matches, where Snake is the 39th character to be unlocked, and he is the 5th character unlocked by completing Classic Mode with Link or anyone in his unlock tree after Meta Knight.
Going over Snake's opponents in his Classic Mode route, in Round 1, you fight two Inklings on Moray Towers, Round 2 is against Diddy Kong, and the stage is Kongo Falls. In Round 3, you fight Pit, and the stage is Shadow Moses Island on Battlefield Form, in Round 4, you fight Link on Jungle Japes, in Round 5, you fight Samus and R.O.B., two of each in a Horde Battle, and the stage is Norfair. In Round 6, you fight another Snake on Shadow Moses Island, this supposed to be reference to how Snake himself was cloned from Big Boss in the Metal Gear series, the one playable in this game being Solid Snake, while the clones share the name Snake in some way. If you are playing as the green alternate costume, you fight the default Snake in this fight.
Next up is the Bonus Stage, and after that, the last opponent on Snake's Classic Mode route is Galleom, who has some resemblance to the Metal Gear machines, which could be the reason Galleom is the final opponent on Snake's Classic Mode route, and Galleom also fitting in with the projectile weapon theme, as Galleom can fire explosive missiles for one of his moves.
Next is the credits, and the song that plays is MGS4 Theme of Love, which was remixed in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and you earn the Fighter Spirit for Solid Snake if you completed Classic Mode with him for the first time.
