I am playing as Marth for this Classic Mode video, and what I usually do is that I randomize a list to decide who the next characters I will play as are, and the playlist for my Classic Mode videos will display the fighters in order of how they are displayed on the roster. Marth's Classic Mode route is A Kingdom of Dragons, and his opponents are draconic characters on medieval-themed stages, like a reference to the Fire Emblem series, and how there are dragon-based enemies in those games as well, and the game Marth originated from is called Shadow Dragon, so it would make sense to have draconic characters be his opponents for that route.
To unlock Marth, there are many different ways, one of them being Vs. Matches, where Marth is the 7th character to be unlocked, and he is the 2nd character unlocked after completing Classic Mode with Yoshi or anyone in his unlock tree after Lucario.
Marth's Classic Mode can be very rough, as the odd numbered rounds are against heavyweight powerhouses, in Round 1, you fight a Giant Charizard on Castle Siege, in Round 2, you fight five Yoshis in a Horde Battle, and the stage is Arena Ferox. In Round 3, you fight Giant King K. Rool, and the stage is Bridge of Eldin, in Round 4, you fight six Mii Fighters in a Horde Battle, four Mii Gunners, and one each of Mii Brawler and Mii Swordfighter, and they wear dragon-themed costumes, one of them even wears a Woolly Yoshi Hat, they are fought on Castle Siege. In Round 5, your opponent is Giant Ridley, and the stage is Norfair, and in Round 6, you fight two Corrins, male and female, and the stage is Coliseum.
Next is the Bonus Stage, and as this route is all about dragons, Rathalos is the final opponent in Marth's Classic Mode route, likely to reference how a dragon is usually the final boss in most Fire Emblem games, and Rathalos isn't too difficult, you can use items to stun him for a bit to get in some easy attacks off against him.
After that is the credits, and the music is the Fire Emblem Theme, which was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and when you complete Classic Mode with Marth for the first time, you get his Fighter Spirit.
