I am playing as Toon Link for this Classic Mode video, and this one has an interesting theme to it, you team up with two other Toon Links. As with my Classic Mode videos, I randomize a list to decide who my next few characters will be, the playlist for Classic Mode will display the fighters in order of how they are displayed on the roster. Toon Link's Classic Mode route is The Teamwork of Courage, and in all battles, you team up with two Toon Links as CPU allies, which is a likely reference to The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, and they always use the red and blue alternate costumes, and the default Toon Link is used if you are playing as one of the two alternate costumes, and if you are playing on co-op mode, one CPU Toon Link will always be there.
To unlock Toon Link, there are many different ways, one of them is through Vs. Matches, where Toon Link is the 44th character to be unlocked, and he is the last character unlocked in Link's unlock tree when you complete Classic Mode with any of them after Richter.
In all battles, you team up with two Toon Links, who are your CPU allies, in Round 1, your opponents are Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi, and the stage is 3D Land, seeing these four characters reminds me of the cast of the Super Mario World cartoon. In Round 2, you fight Villager and Isabelle, and the stage is Tortimer Island, in Round 3, your opponents are three R.O.B.s, and the stage is 75m on Battlefield Form. In Round 4, you fight Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard, and the stage is Pokémon Stadium. In Round 5, you fight four Inklings, and you fight them on Moray Towers, and in Round 6, your opponent is Giant Ganondorf, and the stage is Great Plateau Tower in Battlefield Form.
Next is the Bonus Stage, and after that, the boss of Toon Link's Classic Mode route is Ganon, the advantage is that you have two CPU allies for that fight, and I didn't even know that you can damage Ganon when he is stunned anywhere other than his tail, because normally his tail would be the only thing you can attack to deal damage to him, after 3 years, and having completed every Classic Mode route, and I didn't even know you can actually damage Ganon anywhere while he is stunned.
After completing this route, we get the credits, and the song is Hyrule Main Theme, and you then get the Fighter Spirit for Toon Link after completing Classic Mode with him for the first time, and he does appear in other Spirits alongside other characters.
