With Team Galactic fended off at Lake Valor and at Lake Verity, Rowan suggests that I go to Lake Acuity, which is located near Snowpoint City, and try and help Barry out. Before then, I do some optional stuff with Strength, one place of interest is Wayward Cave, where a rare Pokémon called Gible can be found.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

I show some optional area that can be accessed with Strength, and if you haven't been to Lost Tower yet, this is where you can get Strength, I don't like how they place a required Hidden Move in a place you are not ever likely ever go to. The first place I show is Oreburgh Gate, where you can get an Earth Plate and the TM for Focus Punch, and you do want to fight that Veteran, if you haven't hatched the Egg you got from Riley back at Iron Island, this is the only way to see Riolu for your Pokédex.
Next is the basement in Wayward Cave, and in Platinum, you were able to access it earlier, but in this game, you need Strength. There is a notable encounter there, it is Gible, a Dragon/Ground-type Pokémon, it is at a low level, but it does eventually become a fearsome Garchomp once it is fully evolved. You can get Gible in the Grand Underground once you get your next Gym Badge, so I would recommend waiting till then so there is a chance you can get a Gible with some good Egg Moves like Outrage or Iron Head, it would take a lot of grinding, and I recommend waiting till Level 36 to learn Dragon Claw, Gabite learns it at Level 42, but it can relearn Dual Chop if you are interested. Once fully evolved into Garchomp, you can reteach Crunch to it, and you do get the TM for Earthquake after crossing some slopes with the bike, this is a great move to teach to Gible if you are planning on using one on your team, and in Platinum, you can even get Earthquake much earlier, and when taught to Gible, it can destroy foes very easily at that point. It does have good TM access to moves like Poison Jab, Rock Slide, Brick Break, and Swords Dance, making it a great option to consider.
There is Mt. Coronet on the Route 211 side, which we have to go through in order to go to Snowpoint City, with Strength, you can get the TM for Rock Polish and some other items, and the basement, there is some fog there, so you will have to use Defog, but what is notable is the large pool of water, in four random spots and only by fishing, you can find Feebas, the spots change every day, and I think it's based on the Loto ID number at Jubilife City, there is a site that tells you where your Feebas spots are. As for Feebas, while it is similar to Magikarp as a Pokémon, you will have to maximize its Beauty stat in order to evolve it. While it does learn Water Pulse once it's evolved into Milotic, it can be taught Surf and Ice Beam to give it some good moves, and it can make use of Recover, as Milotic is a defensive Pokémon, if you want to go out of your way to get Feebas, it is a decent Pokémon. If you mix record with other players, you can share your Feebas spots with other players, so if another player has found Feebas, you can find it in the same spot that player found Feebas in.
I decided to do Route 216, and I will be saving the route to Snowpoint City in the next part, and there are some Ace Trainers there that use some strong Pokémon at this point in the game. There are two new encounters to go over, the first one is Snover, its type combo of Grass/Ice is a downside because it has a lot of weaknesses, but I will go over the positives, Snover has Snow Warning, allowing it to summon Hail for 5 turns, and I recommend teaching it Blizzard through TM, because in the hail, Blizzard will never miss. You can hold off Snover's evolution by one level to get Wood Hammer, because Abomasnow learns it at Level 43, but you can give it TMs like Giga Drain or Energy Ball for a Grass-type move, it is a decent option for an Ice-type, and there are only two Ice-type Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex.
The other one is Sneasel, the speedy Ice/Dark-type Pokémon, and this one is a tough one to recommend, because to evolve Sneasel into Weavile, it has to be holding a Razor Claw and level up at night, but you don't get the Razor Claw until very late in the game. Another thing is Sneasel's level up moves are very lackluster, so I would recommend waiting till after getting your next Gym Badge, as you can find Sneasel in the Grand Underground after that where they can know moves like Ice Punch and Throat Chop, so I recommend catching several Sneasel in the Grand Underground, and use the Move Deleter and the Nursery to get both Ice Punch and Throat Chop, and Sneasel will be set, but you won't have access to Weavile until near the end of the game. It learns some good TM moves like Brick Break, X-Scissor, and Poison Jab, and its evolved form Weavile learns Night Slash at Level 60, so you might be best with Throat Chop.
