It is time for some up close fighting without items and on Omega Mode stages, which makes it more like a competitive Smash tournament. It is called Up Close and Personal, outside of Europe, it is called Close-Quarters Combat, and only characters that lack projectiles can be used, so characters like Mega Man can't be used.
Here are the following characters that can be selected for this Tourney:
Donkey Kong, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Marth, Lucina, Ganondorf, Roy, Chrom, Meta Knight, Ike, Little Mac, Shulk, Incineroar

The rules for this Tourney, Omega Form stages can only appear, items are switched off, the format is 1-on-1, it is a Stock battle where both players will have two stock, the time limit is set to 3 minutes, Final Smash Meter is turned off, this does feel like playing a competitive Smash tournament, well this is a limited time online tournament mode, and to limit it to characters that do not use projectiles, this does look to be a good theme, even though I'm not that much of a competitive Smash player, and how I don't like having to fight on Omega Form stages without items, for this one, I can pick my character and fight my best.
I use Roy for this one, well he is one of my favourite characters to use, so I find that when using a character that I am good with, I feel better about taking part, because while I'm not a fan of itemless Omega Form battles in random online, specially when I use a character that I am not good with, I felt it was best that I go with the character that I am the best with and see how well I do against my opponents.
When you participate in this Tourney, you will earn a Spirit based on your placement, and for this Tourney, there are 16 players for this one, I don't know what the minimum amount of players are for this one, maybe 4 or 8, but this is a 1-on-1 Event Tourney, so I approve of having 16 players for this one, and there are a good amount of Little Mac players in this one, because I remember how popular Little Mac was in the For Glory mode in Super Smash Bros. 4, even though Little Mac's win rate was infamously low.
For this Tourney, the four stages that appeared in that order were Duck Hunt, Great Bay, Wrecking Crew, and Figure-8 Circuit, and I have checked different replays, and while the stage is set, for each match, the music is different for each player, I will list the songs for my matches, not giving away if ever I do end up making my way to the final match, or my placement in this Tourney.
