Heat that engine up because it's a fast-paced action set in the curvy edges of the road. Gear up in this cool racing game called Superbikes: Track Stars! The aim in this 3D game is to control your motorbike and its rider. Then compete on various races and aim on becoming a champ. Each track has a certain position need to access the next one. Try to finish in the highest position possible to unlock them. You will be awarded with some prize money whether you win or lose. Use this money to enhance your motorbike's speed, acceleration, and other parts.

Motorbikes are a whole load of fun, and racing them is likewise a whole load of fun. The only problem is all that pesky getting killed business, something that's bound to put a damper on anyone's day. To that end, there are various bike racing games, Superbikes: Track Stars being a pretty good example.

The game looks and plays like your typical racing game, with typical controls. That said, there are lots of games in the genre that follow the formula, so what really sets apart these games is how well they play and how good they look.

Granted, Superbikes isn't really that spectacular of a looker. It does look pretty enough, but perhaps not for modern games. It has that retro feel to it with enough of a modern spin on things to not look too dated. The way the graphics look though (sans the high pixel count perhaps) is more reminiscent of old-school games like Crazy Cars. Well, minus the cars and with motorbikes instead of course. The tracks look pretty good, with just enough detail to provide a decent racing environment but not so much as to be distracting.

The controls for the game are the typical wasd controls along with a nitro booster, doesn't get much simpler than that. That's a good thing, because you'll need those simple controls to deal with just how twisted the tracks are. Each racing course hits you with so many twists and turns you'd think you were traveling along a road designed by a city-planner after he inspected a chicken's entrails in a moment of urban epiphany. It does, however, make for some really interesting tracks, and you'll really need to be at the top of your game just to place.

Speaking of which, the AI of the game is above average, but not so difficult as to prove impossible. The AI provides just enough challenge for the experienced player to feel a sense of accomplishment after beating it, and it's easy enough to allow for more inexperienced players to be able to play the game without feeling overwhelmed. It's a very, very fine balance to hit with a rather delicate tipping point, but Superbikes manages to get it perfectly. What's better, the difficulty builds up gradually, so even if you find it too easy at the start, things do get harder. And if you found the first bits rather challenging, the feeling of reward you'll get will only increase as levels go by.
