Racing is fun. Blowing things up is also fun. Combine the two and you've got a formula for something that's really, really fun. To that end, we've got Full Auto Mayhem, a top-down racer with lots of guns, lots of bombs, and, of course, lots of explosions.

Full Auto Mayhem is a top-down racer where you can shoot things. Brief, succinct, and simple. Also misleading, as there's more to the game than just driving around and shooting.

While the graphics aren't really anything special, they're certainly a cut above other online racers in the genre. They're still pretty much what you'll see in other online games, but with a touch more polish and professionalism than would commonly be seen. In addition, there are some parts of it that are worth mentioning, such as the shadows cast by the scenery which actually darken your car, the skid marks left by squealing tires as they slam into turns, or the fire and smoke caused by taking on more damage than any insurance company would be willing to pay for. Despite all that though, the cars are all mostly palette swaps of one another, so it can be a tad daunting to differentiate between racers causing for a rather confusing jumble at times.

The controls are standard here, arrow keys to move around the track and other keys for shooting. Up and down will accelerate you, and left and right will... well, move you left and right. Being a top-down racer, these controls can take some getting used to, but they're nothing too hard. The keys to shoot are "X" and "C" which shoot your primary and secondary weapons respectively. And of course, where would racing be without nitrous, which is controlled by the "Z" key.

As you progress in the game, you'll win (or possibly lose) races. As you do so, you'll be able to upgrade your ride with better weapons, superior engines, and even trick it out with decals and the sort. But most of that (well, not the weapons and engine) are aesthetic. In-game, you'll be up against a bunch of other cars, all ready to blast you into tiny little vehicular pieces. The AI is pretty good, and it'll put up a decent fight against most players. More experienced racers won't have too much difficulty with it, but seeing as how there are quite a lot of tracks there's more than enough to keep anyone occupied for some time.
