Monsters Wheels Game
Don't mess with these monsters once the green light is on! Their engines will roar like mad in this fun driving game called Monsters' Wheels! The task here is simple - to win each race in first place. But it will be a hard battle because you have lots of other racers as opponents. Use your nitro to make sure you gain the lead. If your nitro is out, get the red containers to fill it up again. There are also coins on the obstacle track. Collect these coins so you can save up some money. Use your money to buy upgrades for you cool monster truck.
If you're looking for a monster truck game that allows you to do awesome stunts, crush puny little cars into fine dust, brave exploding tracks, and soar sky high with massive bursts of nitro, then look no further than Monsters' Wheels; it's got everything you're looking for and much more!
If you've played a lot of games online, then you've probably played a few side scrolling racers. They are all rather similar, and are bound together in a genre more by their controls and gameplay than any other unifying factor. As such, it takes quite a bit of extra oomph for a game to get recognized as being something special, something more than other games in the same vein. Monsters' Wheels does this rather well, both in terms of gameplay and in aesthetic appeal.
Like other side scrolling racers, you accelerate by hitting the up key. To decelerate or move backwards, you hit the down key. Now, being a side scroller, you'd think there wouldn't be much more than that. Well, if you're new to these types of games that is. In actuality, there are three other keys that you need to know. The left and right keys allow you to balance your truck left and right, or rather forwards and backwards as you're viewing it from the side. Hitting the left key will thus cause your truck to rotate counter clockwise, and the right key will do the opposite. You'll use these keys to hit ramps at just the right angle, hit cars upon landing at the perfect point to not lose speed, and to get yourself out of any tricky situations (of which there are many) on the track. The last key, the spacebar, controls your nitrous. Unlike reality though, nitro sends a gout of blue flame out from behind you and acts more like a jet engine than anything else. Still, it works well and can send you skywards upon hitting the right ramp.
As you progress, you'll race against other trucks, typically up to three other trucks specifically. You'll want to place at the very least in third place if you plan to get anywhere. On the other hand, as there aren't any actual penalties for trying races over, there's really no reason to not get into first place. Also, repeated goes at tracks will enable you to familiarize yourself with them and get the best performance possible and all the money possible.
And what's better, with the money you manage to nab, you'll be able to improve your truck by buying a better model. You'll need it later on as tracks get quite harder and the obstacles get a whole lot tougher to bypass. To help with this, you're given the opportunity to purchase four different upgrades. The first, your nitro boosters, simply improve you nitro bursts. The second, armor, makes it so you don't explode into smithereens too quickly. The third, tires, ensures that you're the one that does the crushing into smithereens by providing you with bigger and tougher tires. The last, engine upgrades, improve your overall speed and performance.
Now all that said and done, it would seem that the game is fairly similar to others. On the contrary though, despite having those characteristics similar to other games in the genre, the level design is a great deal better. You won't find anything too easy nor will you find anything too difficult. The AI is also rather decent, and it'll put up a decent fight against you thus providing some compelling gameplay.
So what are you waiting for then? Go on and grab Monsters' Wheels and take on the thrill and excitement of driving a monster truck!
