#SuperOldGameSaturday #SuperSonicGameSaturday April Entry - Shadow The Hedgehog (Xbox)
Originally Recorded/Aired on April 24th, 2021
On the back of the fun we had with the path system gameplay of Star Fox 64, April's entry for #SuperSonicGameSaturday was more of a cautionary tale of that with 2005's infamous Shadow The Hedgehog. This was the game that officially kicked off the so-called dark ages of Sonic and it went adult with its content and tone that it still refused to be consistent with or justify, but we DID play it through its "best" version on Xbox and I and the chat still had a great time with this one because, along with the discussions on this game, series, voice actors, high-definition gaming outputs and more, I let the chat tell me what missions I'd do for a play of the game until we then went to the canonical ending to beat this game for my first time. I promised that we'd take the good with the bad in the #SuperSonicGameSaturday initiative of mine this year, but this was a great time that reinforced the idea that even bad games can make for a good stream with friends, family and the like (kind of like the #BadGameThursday concept, which this is a case of to me, though maybe I've eased on this one a little), so hope you enjoy April's entry into (and if you like what you see here, stop by https://www.twitch.tv/captainditrag each Saturday at 7 PM EST to see these streams live and join/help drive the conversations on what we play each week and the Sonic games we'll cover for each month this year)!
